Coney Island on July 4th - A Must for Street Photographers

Last year I took a photo trip to Coney Island on the 4th of July with my good friend Winslow. Incase you’re unaware, Coney on the 4th is big deal for street photographers. With thousands of people in attendance and such a wide variety of cultures present it’s truly a one of a kind experience. When we first arrived, to say I was overwhelmed would be an understatement. There was so much going on and the first 2 or so hours I couldn’t get a grasp of anything. Not to mention, I was already going through something personal and it made it much harder to focus on the task at hand. Luckily, we were in no rush to get out of there and the 8 hours we spent walking gave me more than enough time to find my groove. We left a little after 12am and the place was still completely packed. New York truly does not sleep lol. I met so many great photographers (a few big YouTubers too!) and made some new friends along the way. Had planned on going back this year but unfortunately life had other plans and I wasn’t able to get the day off of work. I’m sure there will be another opportunity down the line. Till then, here’s some of my favorite images from the day. ✨
